Vikki joined OPRA as Office Manager in November 2010 and is based in OPRA’s Wellington office. Coming from a background in office and financial management, Vikki has enjoyed working with several Wellington based companies in the finance sector. Vikki is a Fellow and National Director of the New Zealand Credit & Finance Institute (NZCFI). NZCFI is a not for profit organisation involved in providing education, networking and fellowship for its members providing regular meetings updating on legislation changes and matters of interest in the credit and finance environment.

Past work experiences have been varied, including owning and running family businesses; a 7 day dairy and a Wellington inner city bookshop. The two business ventures provided a great environment which prepared Vikki for a variety of different roles in her career. Former positions have involved working in a variety of finance related roles, including a lending manager for a large finance company where Vikki was able to assist many small businesses with their finance needs. This work was extremely rewarding, especially watching some of the businesses grow and expand over time.

Interests outside of work time include aqua jogging at the local pool and attending or holding quiz nights with groups of friends. Belonging to a book club provides a great chance to catch up with friends, swap books and enjoy a fun evening. Recently a trip to London to attend her daughter’s wedding was a real highlight, especially as the wedding service was held in London’s Tower Bridge. Vikki’s other interests include gardening, although her own is designed to look after itself which allows time to sit and enjoy our sunny days.
